The Scorecard for Evaluating Events

After 20 years we have learned how our clients have evaluated their event and meeting solutions. We share this with you to help you develop your own scorecard and what is important to your organization.

  • Boilerplate solutions or tailored to the client’s business and event outcomes or both. Context is important. The flexibility is key to the client’s selection.

  • Program management or project management. Can they start small, stay small, and/or scale?

  • Highly networked and engaged with the hospitality industry to identify, optimize, and leverage the value of your event.

  • Program management requires a trusted client relationship. The provider must have the relationship skills to work across the client’s company and the skills in budget and total quality management to earn the trust of the client and protect its brand.

  • Do they have the time and attention to meet our current and future needs?

  • Do they treat our budget seriously and have the means to provide superior outcomes while being sensitive to the client’s total cost of ownership?
